CLASSICAL MUSIC WITH A SPIRTUAL NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE.

Lisa Cheryl Thomas, Native American Concert Pianist of Tsalagi (Cherokee) heritage, shares and preserves traditional Native American music through her touch on "the ivories".

She has graduated through the ranks of classical studies, beginning piano at the age of seven and giving her first solo recital at the University of Louisville, Ky's preparatory music school, "Garden Court", at the age of 14, and in spite of numerous tragedies and "would be" deterrents, has gone on to earn honors, scholarships, a Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance from Southern Methodist University, has entered and won awards in numerous competitions, and performs frequently to enthusiastic applause.

Lisa Thomas is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts Degree (DMA) in piano performance from the University of North Texas, Denton and some of her career highlights include playing at a private reception in 1990 for The President Of The United States, George Herbert Walker Bush and performing in the esteemed Carnegie Hall.
